The weekend kicked off with several breakout sessions, including a deeper introduction to Magento Business Intelligence – the result of Magento acquiring analytics firm RJ Metrics in 2016 – the platform is now available as a SaaS model for all Magento customers, and the Magento BI Essentials license will be included in Magento Enterprise Cloud Edition 2. Robert Moore, Head of Magento Business Intelligence discussed how the solutions integrate into over 20 popular ERP, analytics systems and extensions to bring together all your site intelligence in one centralized dashboard. We gave the system a test drive here at Web Solutions – and the consensus was: getting personalized, relevant reporting in your inbox every morning cannot be beaten.
The week continued with several exciting announcements from Magento about optimizations to the platform, and the release of Magento 2.2 this summer. Magento Order Management and Magento B2B are exciting developments that will be integrated into the platform in the next release.
For current Magento 2 or Magento 1 clients that want to get started B2B online retail optimization sooner than that – we have developed several Magento-verified modules for Quote Request and Sub-accounts that allow B2B clients to empower their team with permissions and order caps for requested wholesale quotes.
For order management and inventory management needs – we have spent the past year developing a proprietary customizable platform, SmartStock360, to work with Magento. The platform is an open-source framework that can be tailored to any business workflow and warehouse configuration. We are very excited to debut this labor of love and are in the midst of going live with clients.
Serena Williams ended the second night with an inspirational sit-down with Magento CMO Andrea Ward. Speaking to her celebrated career in tennis and overcoming challenges, she likened her athletic success to success in business: always bounce back and always push the limit. Her record-breaking success continues to be an inspiration from the tennis court to the boardroom.
Web Solutions NYC also broke a record of our own. In a ten day total start-to-finish project time launching a well-known global watch brand on Magento 2. Our team worked tirelessly to achieve a smooth launch in such a short project time. Owing to the power of the Magento 2 platform and the strength of our development team – the design, development and launch happened in just over a week. We were able to pull the launch trigger at our booth at the Magento Imagine conference – a special moment for us!
We had a great week meeting current clients, merchants, analysts, Magento employees and seeing some old friends. We are already counting down until Imagine 2018.
